What's New for CI360 in January 2026

SAS Customer Intelligence 360 releases operate on a continuous delivery model that allows for a more scalable, phased approach to feature deployment. Accordingly, these release notes are updated several times a month. Check them regularly.

 

Unless otherwise specified, the features listed below are General Availability. Features that are released as Limited Availability and Release Preview are indicated. For more information about release levels, see Phased Releases for SAS Customer Intelligence 360.

 

Access to the features listed here depends on your role, license, and the release phase. Contact your SAS representative if you have questions about a feature’s availability. For a full list of new features in SAS Customer Intelligence 360, see What's New.

 

The January 2026 release of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 includes the following new features and enhancements.

 

January 21

 

  • SMS Tasks: The ability to add SMS tasks to scheduled journeys is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • Encrypting Agent Credentials: The latest version of the agents adds the following options to encrypt cleartext credentials:
    • encryptCredentialsOnStartup=true to encrypt cleartext credentials when the agent restarts
    • (Optional) encryptionKeyFilePath property to specify the full path of the file that contains the 32-byte encryption key

    IMPORTANT Encrypting credentials is supported on systems that run SAS 9.4M8 and later. Update to the latest version of each agent before starting this process.

January 14

 

  • Google Display & Video 360 Connector and Task: Admin users can upload audience data to the Google Display & Video 360 (DV360) advertising platform by setting up a preconfigured connector that enables access to the DV360 APIs. The DV360 connector is used in conjunction with a DV360 task.

    The ability to use the DV360 connector and task is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • Updated Toolbar: The updates to the toolbar for these items are now available in the production tenant for all customers: Assets, Creatives, Messages, Data Views, Real-time Journeys.

  • Calculated Items: The updated user interface for Calculated Items in General Settings is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • SMS Tasks (Release Preview): You can now add SMS tasks to scheduled journeys. When you create an SMS task, select Scheduled Journey as your source type. Task scheduling, targeting, and execution is managed by the journey. For more information, see Create an SMS Task in SAS Customer Intelligence 360: User’s Guide.

January 7

  • Scheduled Journeys: The use of contextual information in tasks is now supported by scheduled journeys. For more information, see Contextual Information for Identities in SAS Customer Intelligence 360: Administration Guide.

  • Migrating Group Nodes: The ability to migrate node groups from campaigns in SAS Marketing Automation to segment maps in SAS Customer Intelligence 360 is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • Calculated Items (Release Preview): The user interface for Calculated Items in General Settings has been updated to improve the user experience. The functionality remains the same. You might notice minor UI modifications.

  • Updated Toolbar (Release Preview): These pages have an updated toolbar: Data Views, Assets, Creatives, Messages, and Real-time Journeys. The updates include:

    • Where applicable, you can now have the filter and folder views open at the same time.
    • The icon to create an item is now a blue circle with a plus sign and the Copy icon is now next to the icon for creating a new item.

  • Google Display & Video 360 Connector: Admin users can upload audience data to the Google Display & Video 360 (DV360) advertising platform by setting up a preconfigured connector that enables access to the DV360 APIs.

    The DV360 connector is used in conjunction with a DV360 task. SAS Customer Intelligence 360 supports single sign-on (SSO) for seamless authentication of DV360 accounts. Signed-in users can get uninterrupted access to their DV360 accounts from within the application.

  • Google Display & Video 360 Task: Marketers can use a Google Display & Video 360 task in conjunction with a Google Display & Video 360 connector to seamlessly upload audience segments from SAS Customer Intelligence 360 to the Google Display & Video 360 platform.

    These tasks enable you to define match criteria for your selected audience, enhancing the targeting and effectiveness of your advertising campaigns.

    SAS Customer Intelligence 360 supports single sign-on (SSO) for seamless authentication of Google Display & Video 360 accounts. Signed-in users can get uninterrupted access to their Google Display & Video 360 accounts from within the application.
