David is a strategic analytics leader with 25 years of experience across Risk, Client and Product Analytics at numerous banks, under various architectures. In his current role at BNS he is leading a team that is leveraging data automation, AI and cloud-native capabilities to help risk stakeholders remove data siloes and modernize their analytics solutions. He is a proven leader able to convert constraints into growth opportunities and thrives in bringing all levels of the team along for the journey from land to lake to cloud – driving value for stakeholders and skills development for his team along the way.
Simon Sun Manager SAS Customer Advisory Banking & Insurance
With a strong background in analytics and extensive industry experience, Simon is at the forefront of helping organizations driving AI innovation and digital transformation. Simon started his career in biostatistics, then moved to CIBC where he was working as a Director in Fraud Analytics, leading a team of data scientists leveraging AI/ML techniques mitigating fraud risk for the bank. Simon is also a renowned educator and thought leader in the AI space. He has delivered lectures in multiple Canadian University Analytics programs and mentored many students working in different industries. Simon joined SAS in 2021 and has become a trusted advisor to organizations seeking to unlock the power of artificial intelligence.
