Using the TreatAs function you can convert a Date value into a numeric value. Then you could get it's MAX value.

It means the query is too large to run on the machine. Remember the LASR Server is using the RAM - so there is less available to use for uploads and other processing. I don't have a suggestion other than make the query smaller by adding a WHERE clause. You can also try unloading some data from the LASR server to make more room in memory. Also increase your RAM on your machine (but that is more involved.) I have seen other change the MEMSIZE but I don't know if that will help. I'll be curious to hear suggestions from others.

I see two possible solutions - both of these are untested. I would update my data to have a variabled called "last_record_flag" that would allow me to filter. The variables would simply have a 1 if it was the last record and otherwise be 0 or missing. It's not exactly clear to me how you are going to build this chart to use that record. In the Aggregate measures there is a function called LAST that gets the last item. I have not used this function so I'm really just making you aware it exists as opposed to telling you how to use it. Here's user guide reference. Hope this gives you an exploration trail.

You want the user to click on a chart and then link to a new chart. So maybe in Section 1 I click on a pie chart and it takes me to a bar chart on the next page? Yes do that with Linking and it will autofilter for the new one. You can also set up an interaction. You can use a hierarchy to filter the data in the new chart. So same chart - but it has the new data based on what the user clicked on. If you literally want the pie chart to turn into a bar chart .... you might need to employ a magician. 😉

Dashboard gauges get a lot of haters - but I think it's undeserved. Here's some tips I have for helping users understand how objects are related. In my Planning Your Dashboard post, I talk about how to plan your KPIs and supporting information. In the post, I show how I used horizontal containers to control the layout - here's specifically what I did. I had already built the objects - which actually made this a more difficult task. Start a new section and add 2 horizontal containers. In one of the containers, change the background color and set transparency around 70%. Duplicate the container with the color and move it to the bottom. Return to your other tab, right-click the objects and move to the new section. Then drag the objects into the container. Yeah ... time for happy feet. Click the Like button .. give me some love!!! 🙂

I'm not sure what you are asking exactly - but I think you have a horizontal container that you want to automatically advance. If that is your question, then the product does not do that. I suggest you request the feature in the SAS Ballot. However, if you are just trying to figure out a workaround that lets the user know how to navigate your report better then I suggest you try a Stack Container and place the controls in the upper left (or somewhere the user is more likely to notice them. You can also play with colors to make the buttons stand out more. Here's an example I built in VA 7.3 using the SASHELP.STOCKS table:

I don't have a Unix machine to test this on - but it seems like I was able to use a Download Data Files to PC task from the Tasks > Data menu for this issue.

Just to clarify @MichelleHomes comments - you can do it however you like. It is based on your individual report. In some cases - it works better to have a report/dashboard that is based on a single table. Perhaps you have multiple views of the data - for instance a treemap that shows the products by Batch Number. Then another section that has a map showing where the batch numbers were distributed. You can also have the data broken into smaller tables if it is more convenient for you or works better for you data.
