New Improved Home Page
In this release, a more useful and visually appealing Home page is introduced. This redesign is the latest in a continuing effort to modernize and improve the user interface. Here is a summary of the changes:

  • Resource Center replaces the Help tiles. Two new items are included: a link that creates an email for you to contact SAS Technical Support and a Tour the Home Page option.
  • I Want To provides direct access to some commonly performed actions.
Note: The displayed items are based on your license and user role.
  • My Recently Modified Items displays the last 10 items that you modified and saved. Included items are tasks, activities, segments, and data views.
  • Scheduled Items displays tasks, segments, and activities that are scheduled to run within the next 30 days. Each item includes the type, next scheduled run date, and user name of the individual who published the item. The scheduled date is displayed in your browser’s time zone.

One or two of these icons might appear next to the scheduled date:
    • Recurrence lesned_4-1667235754649.pngrepresents a task that runs on a recurring schedule.
    • lesned_5-1667235778425.png User Group represents a task (bulk email or direct marketing only) with segment dependencies.

You can filter the list by item type, and you can include or exclude items based on whether they are recurring or have segment dependencies.

  • My Recent Results displays high-level insights of the last nine tasks that you most recently published. Email, web, mobile in-app message, mobile push notification, and mobile spot tasks are included. Direct marketing, A/B, web MVT, and external tasks are excluded.

Additional Home page features are coming soon.

Exception Metrics Extended for Email Communications
The metrics for email communications now include more details about bounces from the email service provider. The application processes up to 20 bounce codes. You can access the details via the data tables.

These metrics for bounce types are now collected:

  • three types of hard bounces
  • five types of block bounces
  • nine types of soft bounces
  • two types of admin bounces
  • one type of undetermined bounce

The metrics for bounces were previously available as an aggregate count; extended metrics were available only by request. With this new feature, the extended metrics are available in the Unified Data Model (UDM).

The EMAIL_BOUNCE table and the EMAIL_OPTOUT_DETAILS table have the new data for the extended metrics. For example, in the EMAIL_BOUNCE table, the values in the event_nm column and the reason_txt column contain the details of the soft bounce.

Note: Avoid using soft bounces as a deciding factor for re-targeting customers. For soft bounces, consider slowing the rate at which you are communicating with those customers.

User Management Migrated from SAS App Central to the SAS Customer Intelligence 360 User Interface
With this release of SAS Customer Intelligence 360, administrators add and manage users directly from the SAS Customer Intelligence 360 user interface. From the navigation bar, an administrator selects General Settings=>User Management=>Users to perform the following actions: create users, delete users, suspend users, add users to groups, and assign user roles. This update replaces the use of SAS App Central for adding users to a tenant and for removing users from a tenant. SAS App Central is no longer available for user management.

Users or administrators who were using https://cloud.sas.com to access SAS Customer Intelligence 360 are redirected to https://ci360.sas.com until December 31, 2022.

The ability to add users in bulk by uploading a file and the ability to view the user activity report that was available in SAS App Central will not be available initially in SAS Customer Intelligence 360. Administrators who require a log of user actions and logins for compliance reasons can contact SAS Technical Support for this information until the audit log becomes available from the user interface.
