Most Recent Asset Folder Remembered
Starting with the 22.09 release, SAS Customer Intelligence 360 remembers the most recent folder that you navigated to when you selected an asset. This feature saves you time when you have multiple assets in the same folder. Instead of navigating to the folder each time that you want to add an asset, the asset browser opens in the folder that was accessed most recently. This folder is based on the last user’s selection (regardless of the browser). If the most recent folder is deleted, the asset browser displays the top-level Assets folder during the next selection.

Note: An asset folder cannot be deleted if an asset in that folder is used by a creative.

Additional Event Behaviors Available for Cloud Segments

In this release, you can include additional digital consumer behaviors when you define cloud-based segments. Contact policies play an important role in preventing customers from receiving repeated messages from brands. Marketing organizations can now include or exclude certain customers from their campaigns based on their customer’s past behavior across their web properties, mobile apps, and email campaigns.

A segment can include the following digital behaviors (in the form of these SAS Customer Intelligence 360 behavioral events):

  • Web spot and mobile spot behaviors:
    • Impression
    • Click-through
  • Mobile app behaviors:
    • App Focus
    • In-App Message Sent
    • In-App Message Dismissed
    • Small In-App Message
      • Banner Pressed
    • Large In-App Message
      • Button 1 Pressed
      • Button 2 Pressed
      • Button 3 Pressed
    • Push Notification
      • Notification Opened
      • Notification Sent
  • Email behaviors:
    • Email Opened
    • Email Sent
    • Email Clicked
    • Email Viewed
    • Email Complaint
    • Email Optout (Recipient Domain attribute only)
  • General behaviors:
    • Contact
    • Response

Exclusion Criteria for Task Targeting of Cloud Bulk Email Tasks

You can specify which members of the target audience to exclude from a cloud bulk email task. By combining inclusion and exclusion criteria, you can precisely define the target audience that the email is sent to. Exclusion criterion can be either a segment or an imported list.

Use this feature to help enforce your organization’s contact policy across traditional and digital channels. You can be more effective with creatives by limiting saturation and over-communication. Here are examples of how this new feature can impact communication with customers:

  • You can prevent users from receiving too many interactions with the same or similar creatives and messages across channels, which can create a negative customer experience.
  • Within a cloud bulk email task, you can exclude all users who were given a web creative from specific tasks within the previous five days.
  • For an outbound email campaign, you can exclude customers who opened an email in the past week.

The published summary shows which segments are included and excluded:

Exclusion Criteria for Task Targeting of Bulk Push Notification Tasks

You can specify which members of the target audience to exclude from a cloud bulk push notification task. By combining inclusion and exclusion criteria, you can precisely define the target audience that the push notification is sent to.

  • For a cloud bulk push notification task, you can target all customers who have already responded to a promotion via web, email, or mobile.

Integration with Frontify CMS

Starting with the 22.09 release, you can reference assets from an existing Frontify content management system (CMS) account for use in tasks and creatives. This feature enables you to access the Frontify Asset browser from within SAS Customer Intelligence 360. You can take advantage of the existing functionality of Frontify and directly insert images from that CMS.

Images from Frontify are referenced as URLs in tasks and creatives for SAS Customer Intelligence 360. Therefore, when an image is updated in Frontify, the image is also updated in the tasks and creatives where the image is used.

From within SAS Customer Intelligence 360, you authenticate once and this access is retained by a browser cookie. You can then access Frontify from within SAS Customer Intelligence 360 without re-authentication until the cookie expires.

Import Grid Values for Custom Properties from Microsoft Excel

In this release, you can now enter values for grids in Microsoft Excel and import the file into SAS Customer Intelligence 360. Grids enable you to define custom property values in a spreadsheet-like format, and this feature enables you to work with grid properties more efficiently.

To ensure that you are working with the correct values, download the grid to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet by clicking the download icon from the grid’s toolbar. Edit the values and import the updated file by clicking the upload icon.

Note: Grid values are replaced, not appended, when you import the Excel spreadsheet.

(Available in SAS 360 Engage: Digital, SAS 360 Engage: Direct, SAS 360 Engage: Email, and SAS 360 Engage: Plan)

Detach Identities for Both Web Sessions and Mobile Sessions

In the 22.09 release, you can now use the JavaScript Events API to detach a user's identity from both web sessions and mobile sessions with a single event. With this feature, you can detach identities more efficiently across both the web and mobile channels.

When you send the detachIdentityCrossChannel event through the JavaScript Events API, the event detaches both the visitor ID (for the web session) and the device ID (for the mobile session) from the datahub ID that is associated with the user.

(Available in SAS 360 Discover and SAS 360 Engage: Digital)

Engage Direct Admin Role Added

In this release of SAS Customer Intelligence 360, the Engage Direct Admin role replaces the Export File Designer role. The Engage Direct Admin role includes the existing capabilities of the Export File Designer role to design and edit export templates. In addition, the new role includes the ability to design and edit calculated data items. You can use the Engage Direct Admin role to extend the capabilities of existing roles such as Direct Marketing Designer and Segment Designer.

Any existing users or groups that were assigned the Export File Designer role are automatically reassigned to the Engage Direct Admin role.
