This release of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 includes the following new features and enhancements.

View Scenario Messages in Optimization Scenarios

Within optimization scenarios, you can now view scenario messages to get information about certain types of changes that are made to input data that can affect the scenario. Scenario messages enable you to view the most recent upload status of input data and detailed warning messages that list changes to the individual components of your scenario.

You can view these messages on the Scenario Messages page in an optimization scenario.

(Available in SAS 360 Engage: Optimize)

Dynamic Cascading Prompts for Stored Processes

In a Process node for segment maps and direct marketing tasks, you can now use dynamic prompts in a stored process for a single prompt or cascading prompt. This feature enables the data to change the prompt values for a parameter by using the values in the underlying on-premises data mart.

The data for dynamic prompts is populated dynamically from the on-premises data mart, which can include values for single and multi-select parameters.

(Available in SAS 360 Engage: Direct)

Date Picker Now Available for Dates in Stored Processes

You can now use a date picker to specify dates for parameters in the stored processes that are used by Process nodes in segment maps and direct marketing tasks. This feature eliminates the need to manually enter the date.

(Available in SAS 360 Engage: Direct)

Include an Email’s Program ID in the Unsubscribe URL

If you have a custom landing page for people who unsubscribe from email communication, you can now get information about an email communication’s program ID from the unsubscribe URL.

If you or your marketing organization sends emails on behalf of different areas of your business (or distinct marketing campaigns), each set of communications can have a program ID that delineates that set of email communication from the others. If customers click an unsubscribe link in one of these emails, you might want to customize how you handle unsubscribe requests based on the program ID.

For example, you might send email to customers that are members of a Loyalty Program and are also interested in a specific product. When a customer unsubscribes from the Loyalty Program that does not necessarily mean that they want to unsubscribe from corporate emails or other product-specific communications.

With this new feature, the program ID (which is specified in the email send agent) is added to the unsubscribe URL as the prgId parameter. Your custom landing page can use this information to direct customers that clicked an unsubscribe link to program-specific information or confirmation options.

This is an example of an unsubscribe URL with the new parameter:

https://corporate.mycompany.com/optout.html?eId=maria.gomez@home.com&prgId=mypoints

Note: If you already have a custom landing page with query parameters, the program ID is automatically added to the URL. If you are not using a custom landing page, or query parameters are not enabled, you can contact Global Customer Success to manage these options.

(Available in SAS 360 Engage: Email)

Updated Content for Date Modified for User Groups

Due to internal architecture changes, the Modified Date field for user groups has been reset to the date and time of the release’s delivery. User groups are defined in General Settings => Groups.

(Available in SAS 360 Engage: Digital, SAS 360 Engage: Direct, SAS 360 Engage: Optimize, SAS 360 Discover, and SAS 360 Plan)

Integration of Connectors and External System Tasks

When you create external system tasks, you can now select connector endpoints to integrate with an external system through an external URL. When an external system task is triggered, events are streamed through the associated connector endpoints.

In addition, the connector framework supports a variety of programming languages, so you have more options in how to integrate with external systems.

Note: Although you can configure connectors to integrate with on-premises systems, connectors might be more suitable for integrating with external, cloud-based systems.

(Available in SAS 360 Engage: Digital and SAS 360 Engage: Direct)

Support for Connectors in Grid Custom Properties

Connectors enable integration with external systems through custom properties. For example, you might want to enable users to invoke a connector endpoint on the Properties page for a planning item to retrieve data from an external system and display the values for custom properties.

Now you can configure connectors to display values from an external system in a grid format. This capability provides more flexibility in how to use external data, including the ability to display the data in the format that is appropriate for an item’s custom properties. For example, you can have a grid for applicable products in which each row represents a unique product and the columns represent the attributes of that product.

(Available in SAS 360 Plan, SAS 360 Engage: Digital, SAS 360 Engage: Direct, and SAS 360 Engage: Email)

Saved Filters for Plans and My Workflows List Pages

From the List view of the Plans, My Workflows, and My Workflow Tasks pages, you can perform advanced filtering by clicking the Advanced filter icon. In this release, you can apply filters in the Advanced Filter pane and save them as custom filters. This feature enables you to easily apply frequently used filters for the listed items. For example, suppose you want to save a filter for programs with a planning status. You can select Program (or another name based on your planning hierarchy configuration) in the Type filter section and Planning in the Status filter section, and save the new filter.

When you save a custom filter, you can give it a distinctive name that enables you to quickly identify the contents.

Saved filters persist across sessions, so filters that are applied continue to be applied the next time you sign in to SAS Customer Intelligence 360. If you want to remove the saved filters that are applied, you can select the No filter option.

(Available in SAS 360 Plan)

New Roles for Controlling Access to Commitments and Invoices

SAS 360 Plan now includes these four additional roles to enable more granular access to commitments and invoices:

  • The Invoice Viewer role enables users to view invoices. It does not grant access to edit invoices.
  • The Invoice Manager role enables users to create, edit, and delete invoices.
  • The Commitment Viewer role enables users to view commitments. It does not grant access to edit commitments.
  • The Commitment Manager role enables users to create, edit, and delete commitments.

Use these roles to refine the type of access that users and groups have to commitments and invoices. For example, you might want a group of users that can create and edit commitments within planning items, while restricting the group’s ability to edit budgets and invoices. In this case, you can assign the Commitments Manager role to the group.
