Keep the bubbles for the areas of the map you want shown. Delete the bubbles out of your dat for the areas of the map you do not want shown. There is no other way provided to subset/restrict the area of the background map shown.   ... View more

The background map area is automatically selected to accommodate all the map areas and bubbles you're drawing. Therefore you'll need to eliminate the 'bubbles' from your data, in the areas you do not want to show. ... View more
