There was a question posted earlier today, that several of us posted answers to.

It seems that question (and maybe another one from the same user) is now gone(?)

Please don't delete your question after it is answered. Please mark it 'fixed' and leave it there for others who might have the same question to use as a resource. (I don't like spending time to answer a question for just 1 person, and nobody else get any benefit from it.)

People cannot delete their complete topic when others have replied already (because then they would be deleting content from other people too). However, sometimes users request a message to be removed for any of a number of reasons, most often due to sensitive data included inadvertently.

These requests are infrequent and we (as community managers) try to respect them and comply when we can. After all, most community members are SAS customers and we want them to feel the community supports them in their professional and business goals! Occasionally this means a helpful response is deleted with it.

Another trigger that can cause a topic to disappear is the spam filter. A false positive can put a message in quarantine, and then we need to manually release it. Our Customer Engagement center helps with that and is usually quick to act when a missing message is reported.

Apparently some folks don't like others having the same homework answers.

There has also been a few folks who also just delete their initial question text, not the post, and responses to questions for clarifications.

If I see them start another thread I don't respond.

Anyone remember what this user's id was?

(I'd like to "make a note of it" so I'll know to consider not answering their questions in the future!)
