A lot of times people who write macros have lots of comments and instructions in the text of the macro. I'd like to propose a way of showing those comments within a SAS session.  This would especially be handy when the original code file isn't available or convenient.   %macro foobar(a=,b=); %help to run foobar, supply a, a date field, and b, a numeric field: %foobar(a=bdate,b=anum).  This will return something wonderful; (body of macro) %mend foobar;   So, in SAS you could run %foobar /help or %foobar(help) (or something like that); and it would display the help message. ... Hello,   I've been using SAS VA 7.4. One of the major issues in using VA is the lack of two-way interactions between report objects.   Lets assume I have a scatter plot and list table in the same section. I would like to be able to select one or several points from the graph and brush/filter them to the list table and vise versa: by selecting a row or rows on the list table I'd get the selected observations (or subjects) highlighted in the graph.   Also I would like that these interactions (brushing or filtering) would be supported between sections.   (I usually have multiple tables which include an ID variable, so solutions which depend on the data being in the same table are, at least for me, inadequate.) ... I work with a clinical trials group that is required to provide our funding agency and most of the journals that publish our results with either a CONSORT or a STAR-D Flowchart. Examples of such flowcharts can be found at http://www.consort-statement.org/consort-statement/flow-diagram and http://www.equator-network.org/reporting-guidelines/stard/. I collect usage data for a server, including the amount of CPU time used by processes. I'd like to analyse this in Visual Analytics, using the CPU time as a measure. Currently, the only way to do this is to create a calculated item where the time is converted to a number of seconds, as date and time variables are only treated as categories. I'd like to be able to do these 2 things::   1. Instead of defaulting to date/time, default something that looks like a date to date. A lot of times, text files has a useless timestamp portion of an incoming field (00:00:00) that can be ignored.   2. Unless an incoming column has 'dollar' or 'amount' or 'amt' in the name, default it to string.  There are so many 'codes' and 'numbers' like zip code, social security number, employee ID and so on that just have numbers in them but nobody ever performs numeric functions on them, so import them as strings (especially important for leading zeroes).   These could be 'check boxes' on the import wizard screen or options for EG. ... If I open an EGP and run it, the log changes, the datasets may or may not change, but the code remains the same.    Yet if I try to close the project, SAS asks if I want to save the changes.   So, I'd like to propose this:   1.
