Qualification / Acceptance to SAS Hackathon
What is needed to qualify?
Industry track teams:
Choose an industry/technology track.
You'll need a team (minimum of two to maximum of 10 people).
You'll need to provide a use case description. What’s the problem you want to solve, and how are you going to approach the problem - from a technology, process, people and value viewpoint.
You will need data to support the use case. Note: no personal data; it needs to be anonymized.
What technology will be used (in the broader sense); what products/open source are you going to use so we know what will need to be supported?
Note: all qualifications above must be met to be considered for SAS Hackathon acceptance.
Student individual track:
An active university email address.
What skills are needed to participate?
We encourage the creation of multidisciplinary teams for the industry track teams.
For example, a good team might include a developer/data scientist together with a businessperson and perhaps a storyteller.
From a technical standpoint, it's helpful to have a team member who is familiar with SAS and a team member with open-source skills. Or team members can brush up on these skills using the available training.
For student individuals, we encourage an openness for learning.
What happens with my industry track team's intellectual property (IP) after the SAS Hackathon?
The IP belongs to the team… See Terms & Conditions.
