I know this is a very delayed update - the issue was fixed with the help of SAS Support. We had to launch the deployment manager using the JRE option that points to the java path within SASHome via command line and then updated SID file to metadata.

Hello Experts, I'm trying to understand how to promote a library for 3rd party database (be it any DB) from SAS 9.4M5 to SAS9.4M7. Is it just enough to import them as we do for a Base SAS library, after importing system metadata and their respective database servers (and configurations at OS level)? or are there any additional steps required? Thanks in advance, hope someone could help me understand this.

Hey All, I have bought a few e-books from the SAS online bookstore (https://support.sas.com/en/books.html) a couple of years ago. Now I could not find a way to download them again from bookstore by logging in using the same account, browsing through the above link didn't help me find it. Could someone provide with the URL from where I can access and download the books I had purchased earlier please? Thanks in advance!

Hi @gwootton Thank you for the link. I think there is the catch. When I tried update sid file in Metadata, I see an encountered error message from the deployment manager which is pointing out to cfgwizard_config.xml in one of SAS deployment manager's subfolders. It also points out a log file within Lev1\logs\Configure to know more information, unfortunately, I cannot find the log in specified path. I have raised a SAS track for this as well, wish someone could pick it up quickly. Do you have any idea about the error message?

Hi , We use citrix to run client applications from where we use sasgsub. We haven't applied any license in citrix. I tried to submit proc setinit; through SASGSUB from the grid server itself where we renewed SAS license and still see license expiry notification in the command prompt. However, the output log for the job shows new expiry date. This seems weird.

@SASKiwi Yes, we have IBM platform process manager. I have placed the new license.dat under ppm\conf network path and started LSF services. Is there any additional step to be performed for SAS 9.3?

I applied license on Metadata and grid nodes as well using the renewal utility. Also, from SAS EG, I don't see the license expiry notification.

Hello, I have renewed license of our SAS 9.3M2 grid environment using the SAS license renewal utility for SAS 9.3 and we can see the new license expiry date in SAS foundation and SAS EG. However, SASGSUB shows the license expiry notification still. Could someone help with this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi @gwootton Yes, the hotfix is applied on both client and server machines. I could see the specific hotfix B6T013 in deploymentreg generated on the client machine. Concerning the reset button, I could find it in SMC but when I click on it, I see the message "The command line property was set when deployed and cannot be reset. Redeploy the job for scheduling"

Hi @gwootton The command was not updated even after redeploying the job. Found something interesting as well, when I select a different app server while redeploying a job, it is not updated in the command. It appears that SAS has release a hotfix #B6T013 (https://tshf.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/HF2/B6T.html#62194) to address this issue which is already deployed in our environment and has not fixed the issue.

@gwootton , When I deploy a new job, its log is written to the new directory. But already existing job's logs are going to the old directory. I redeployed the job, unscheduled and scheduled its flow again, but still not working.

Thank you for your quick response, appreciate it!! I redeployed my job, unscheduled and then scheduled it again from SMC. But still job logs are going to the old directory. Wondering if there is anything to change at PPM?

Hello @gwootton and @SASKiwi I'm trying to change the path to which logs are written for scheduled jobs submitted by users. I had updated the path in the SAS Datastep batch server properties under server manager in SMC. But still logs are written to the old directory. I believe changes in SMC does not require any service restart. Do I need to update it somewhere else as well in SAS grid? Does it require redeploying the jobs?

Thanks @doug_sas Based on your reply, I check the authorization of the user group on the grid server. ReadMetadata was denied. I granted that permission to resolve the issue.
