I've been traveling. I tried opening my iphone app last night. The icons were back. Too tired to do much else. I just (1 minute ago) opened the app today and all of the icons are gone again. The keywords under the icons are missing as well so I am not able to try out any functionality. I've read that the Networking widget is working now. I'd love to try it. I can't find anyone in the Networking widget.  When I open the widget and click on Everyone in the lower right hand corner I get a pop up "No Results found".   If I enter the last name of someone I know has registered and is attending AND has downloaded and signed into the mobile app on his phone, and hit SEARCH (bottom middle), I still get the "No Results Found."   How do I find my friends who are attending and how is it beneficial to use the app to connect with them?   I also tried clicking on "Interests" in the upper right.  I then selected an interest and his search - I still got "No Results Found".  I tried several different interestes with no luck.   Am I doing something wrong?   Please advise, Thank you   Thank you, Lori ... I'm having a problem with the app.  I'm using the iPhone version.  I went into the Sessions widget, found the Monday Evening Mingle (12823) and tried to add it to My Agenda.  I got an error: "sessiontime 1146 not found".     There seems to be two 12823 Monday Evening Mingle events in the Sessions widget.  The first one matches the date, time and location of the event advertised in the "Know Your Onions" discussion (Monday, 7 - 9;30pm in the Artist Foyer http://www.metacoda.com/en/2016/01/know-your-onions-meet-up-at-sasgf-tweetup/) and this is the one that I get the error when I try to add it to My Agenda.   The other event runs from only 7-8:30 in Venetian Level 4.  It has the same name and number (12823) and Name.  This one I CAN add to My Agenda.  Is this a true event at the same time with the same name in another location or a duplicate event that's causing my error?   Please help.   Thank you, Lori   ... I've been to 10 SUGI/SGF's so far.  I thought it was more because I've been to NESUG (may it rest in peace) so many times as well.  Looking back, it's all a bit of a blur.  I think my favorite location was the Grand Old Opry.  I loved that location.  I'd never really seen trees growing inside like that before.  I was jealous of the folks who had rooms looking out over the inside greenery.    For post-con fun, I'd have to say that Disney has been my favorite location.  A few years ago after the con, a friend and I drove over to Universal and stayed for a few days.  I love it.   I have to agree with one of the other posts that the Kick-back party has just not been the same of late.  I don't know whether it's because we felt so close to the NESUG/Sugi band. Sometimes I felt like a groupie.  It's not like they can't be replaced, but it seems that they haven't been replaced by bands who can really belt out "Mustang Sally". <sigh> ... View more

I'm talking about the process of Adding things to your scheduler - hitting the + button.  If there is another event on your schedule at the same time, you have to elect in that moment to either add the presentation that you're trying to and remove the one that's already there or keep the one that's already there.  You can only have 1.  The other one disappears into oblivion. ... In past years I've been able to add whatever presentations I'm interested in to my schedule regardless of whether they have a conflict in time.  This year, the scheduler will not let me add any overlapping presentations to my scheduler.  I'd like to be able to make my final decisions when there is a conflict at run-time so to speak.  In this case, if I attend one, I usually end up reading the paper of the other.  Unless I can double-book in the scheduler, I will loose site of the other presentation I wanted.   Is there some setting I may activate so that I can add whatever I'm interested in to my scheduler regardless of time-conflict?    Thanks, Lori     ... Quentin, I have similar questions.  I maintain applications on PC SAS where everyone who runs it has to have SAS installed on their PC.  The user interface is written in %Window.  We have a relatively new BI Server available, but I'm not sure how to go about converting the %Window interface into the new tools. Is it worth looking outside the SAS ecosystem? I think the first place to start is "what are the tools your organization can/will support"?  Python is open source software.  Just because it's open, doesn't mean your organization will allow you to download and work with it.  Even if they will, will they support it or any of the other tools mentioned?  If they don't, and even if you trained up enough that you could, would an application you built with other tools survive if you left your company? ...
