This release of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 includes the following new features and enhancements.
Add a Column to an Existing Data Descriptor
In this release, you can add columns to existing descriptors. Previously, when you wanted to add a column, you had to create a descriptor. Creating descriptors for this reason could result in maintaining many customer tables that overlapped in function.
Now, you can add columns to an existing descriptor by using a PATCH operation with the REST API.
Be aware of these restrictions for adding a new column:

Schedule Endpoints for Connectors
You can configure connectors to enable integrations with external systems. Now when you configure connectors, you have the option to define schedules for endpoints. This feature enables you to set regular occurrences to automatically integrate with external systems.
For example, you might want to define a recurring schedule for an endpoint to run every day at 10 p.m. You can specify schedules on the Orchestration tab when you configure the endpoints. The functionality is similar to the scheduling features in other areas of SAS Customer Intelligence 360, such as scheduling tasks.

Associate Connectors with Agents
Connectors enable you to configure integrations with external systems. In some cases, you might want to use the connector framework to integrate with an on-premises system.
For example, you might want to use a system connector for SAS Marketing Automation to integrate with an on-premises instance of SAS Marketing Automation.
Now, when you configure connectors, you can add and associate the connector with an agent. You can configure this setting from the Access Point column in the Connectors list in General Settings.

Aggregate Email Reports Temporarily Unavailable
The way data is loaded into email task insights is redesigned to enable marketers to view results in individual email task reports in a more timely manner.
However, the change causes the following aggregate email reports in the main Insights menu to be temporarily unavailable:
The aggregate reports will be available soon. In the meantime, you can view the individual reports for a specific email task. From the navigation bar, click Tasks and select an email task. The reports for that task are available on the Insights tab.

Approvals Templates
A previous release included a feature that enabled approvals for item types such as tasks, activities, and creatives. In this release, you can use approval templates to configure the default information for each approval item type. This enhancement enables you to define default approvers, and add durations and instructions for each item.
For example, you want to enable approvals for direct marketing tasks. You might have a set of default approvers for direct marketing tasks. If you define default approvers, they are automatically listed as approvers when you initiate an approval for a direct marketing task. If you want to add an approver that is not listed on the default list of approvers, you also have the option to modify approvers for specific approval instances.
The option to define defaults saves you time when initiating approvals, because you do not have to enter common default information each time you initiate an approval.
Note: A license for SAS 360 Plan is required to configure and edit approval templates. To use those templates in another item, such as a direct marketing task, you also need the appropriate license for SAS 360 Engage, such as SAS 360 Engage: Direct.
(Available in SAS 360 Plan)
Updated Workflow Notifications
Users receive automatic email notifications for specific workflow events such as when a user is assigned a workflow task. In this release, the layout and content structure for all workflow notifications are updated. The notifications now provide an enhanced user experience and a consistent format. This enhancement enables you to access the important and relevant information from the workflow notifications.
