What's New for CI360 in November 2023

SAS Customer Intelligence 360 releases operate on a continuous delivery model that allows for a more scalable, phased approach to feature deployment. Accordingly, these release notes are updated several times a month. Check them regularly.

 

Unless otherwise specified, the features listed below are General Availability. Features that are released as Limited Availability and Release Preview are indicated. For more information about release levels, see Phased Releases for SAS Customer Intelligence 360. The November 2023 release of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 includes the following new features and enhancements.

 

Feature released on November 29:

 

  • Audit Records for API Users (Release Preview, Limited Availability): Actions that are related to API users are now available in the Security category in the downloadable audit records. These records can be downloaded with the Marketing Administration API.

    The actions are listed in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and are separated into tabs by category. Download the following .zip file to view the spreadsheet: ci360-audit-records-actions.zip.

Features released on November 15:

 

  • Inactivity Time-Out for Users: The inactivity time-out setting is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • Triggered Custom Task Types: The ability to create triggered custom task types is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • Custom Tasks: The ability to create custom tasks is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • Association of Custom Connectors with Custom Task Types: The ability to create and associate custom connectors with custom task types is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • User Roles: The updated Engage Direct Admin role is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • Security Audit: The security audit messages for API Gateway for actions that are related to access points and access ranges for IP addresses is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

  • General Settings > Export Templates: The updated UI for General Settings > Export Templates is now available in the production tenant for all customers.

Features released on November 8:

 

  • Schema 13 for Unified Data Model: Starting with the release for November 8, SAS Customer Intelligence 360 includes updates to the Unified Data Model (UDM) for schema 13. Schema 13 contains enhancements to support these features:

    • Support for A/B testing of email tasks
    • Display the optout method for emails
    • Update the usage details to include how many rows of audience data were processed.

  • Create Facebook Audience Tasks from Plans (Limited Availability): The ability to create Facebook Audience tasks from Plans is now supported. When you create or associate a task from a planning item, you can select a Facebook Audience task

  • Create Google Ads Tasks from Plans (Limited Availability): The ability to create Google Ads tasks from Plans is now supported. When you create or associate a task from a planning item, you can select a Google Ads task.

  • Association of Custom Connectors with Custom Task Types (Release Preview): When you create and configure a custom connector for triggered invocation, you can create and associate a custom task type. You can use the custom task type that you associated with the connector to create custom task instances that deliver personalized content when the connector is invoked.

  • Triggered Custom Task Types (Release Preview): You can now create triggered custom task types to send data to third-party applications. Custom task types enable you to be more flexible with where you can send data.

  • Custom Tasks (Release Preview): If your company has configured custom task types, you can create new custom tasks from the task creation wizard.

  • SAS 360 Audiences License: With this license, you can integrate SAS Customer Intelligence 360 with your data source so that the data can be used for targeting and personalization. Using audiences, you can connect directly to your data source so that only the attributes that you want to make available to SAS Customer Intelligence 360 are uploaded. The data that you include in an audience is uploaded into the application for a period of time that you specify.

  • SAS 360 Audience Features: Audience features are now available in the production tenant for all customers that have the SAS 360 Audiences license.

  • Inactivity Time-Out for Users (Release Preview): Historically, a user is automatically signed out of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 after 30 minutes of inactivity. Now, administrators can lower this inactivity period to 15 minutes or extend it up to 12 hours.

    The inactivity time-out setting applies to all users in a tenant, and you should set the value based on your organization's security policies. For more information, see Inactivity Time-Out in SAS Customer Intelligence 360: Administration Guide.

  • User Roles (Release Preview): Users who are assigned the Engage Direct Admin role can view and edit calculated data items, export templates, and seed lists in General Settings. Users no longer need a combination of the Engage Direct Admin and Configuration Admin roles to access these features.

  • Migrate Communication Nodes from SAS Marketing Automation (Limited Availability): Create direct marketing tasks in SAS Customer Intelligence 360 by using communication nodes that have been exported from SAS Marketing Automation. For more information, see Migrating Campaigns in SAS Customer Intelligence 360: User’s Guide.

  • General Settings>Export Templates (Release Preview): The UI for General Settings>Export Templates has been updated to improve the user experience. The functionality remains the same. You might notice minor UI modifications.
