We have run the SAS 9 Content Assessment, and the results have been shared with our SAS Account Manager. We have already requested the SAS 9.4 M9 software depot and are awaiting its delivery. As we finalize our project plan, our next step is to begin the hands-on deployment. We have outlined the high-level phases for this new installation and migration as follows: Provision Infrastructure in GCP. Open Necessary Firewall Ports. Operating System Configuration. SAS 9.4 M9 Software Installation & Patching. Core SAS & Web Infrastructure Configuration (including SAML SSO). Metadata & Object Migration. Physical Data & Program Migration. Final Validation & Testing. To ensure our deployment follows all official guidelines, could you please provide us with the definitive SAS documentation, installation guides, or best-practice checklists that cover these phases for a new SAS 9.4 M9 deployment on a cloud platform like GCP? We are particularly interested in any documentation that details the step-by-step procedures for the installation and configuration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.x. @SASKiwi - Our current OS is Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7.7, and the Target will be RHEL 7.9 and above.We are planning built same architecture as M6. Yes we have already run SAS Content Assessment tool and collected outputs.

Hi Folks, We are planning to migrate from SAS M6 to M8. Due to unsupported OS versions, our strategy involves setting up a new server, installing M8, and then migrating data from the existing M6 server using the SAS Migration Utility (SMU). However, our current M6 environment is in Microsoft Azure, and we intend to move to Google Cloud. We're uncertain about how SMU will function across different cloud providers and anticipate potential challenges in this migration process. Hi All. I am currently looking for guidance on upgrading our SAS 9.4 M6 to M8 in a three-tier topology. I have already reviewed the document provided in the link Upgrade M6 to M7 but it seems to be outdated as it was last modified in November 2020. Could you please assist me in finding the latest document for upgrading to the latest version? Hi all, I hope this message finds you well. We recently noticed that the Audit table (AUDIT_VISUALANALYTICS) has been unloaded in our LASR server, and unfortunately, we haven't been able to reload it. We’ve attempted below troubleshooting steps, but we’re still facing issues. Could someone please assist us in resolving this problem or guide us in the right direction to fix it as soon as possible? Step 1. Open the SAS Management Console and connect to your SAS Metadata server as an administrator i.Select the Plug-ins tab ii.Select Application Management ➤SAS Application Infrastructure ➤ Visual Analytics 7.3 iii.Right-Click on “Visual Analytics 7.3″ and choose Properties iv.On the “Visual Analytics Properties” panel, Select the Advanced tab v.On the Advanced tab, edit the “va.AuditingEnabled” property and change its value to “true” vi.Then Click the “OK” button to save your change Restart the SAS Web application services. Start the LASR services Run the runsas.bat from below similar location with the same user through which you start the LASR server <SASCONF>\Lev1\Applications\SASVisualAnalytics\VisualAnalyticsAdministrator\EVDMLA Post that you should login to VA Hub and go to LASR tab to see if the AUDIT_VISUALANALYTICS table is loaded or not. We have obtained the necessary license from SAS and are now looking for guidance on how to apply the license and establish connectivity to a SAS/ACCESS BigQuery Server. Hi Folks, I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to reach out for some assistance with a recurring issue we've been experiencing with SAS Viya Studio sessions terminating unexpectedly. Upon investigation, I noticed that some compute pods were showing a terminating state in Pods, and I was unable to collect the logs. I tried to locate the viya.logs in the SAS directory at "/var/log/sas/viya.log", but unfortunately, I couldn't find them. Has anyone else encountered this problem before? If so, could you please share any steps or solutions that could help us resolve this issue? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance. I am reaching out for assistance regarding changing the Ingress controller IP from private to public for our SAS Viya deployment. We have utilized the Git IAC code (git clone https://github.com/sassoftware/viya4-iac-azure) and (git clone https://github.com/sassoftware/viya4-deployment.git) for deployment. Currently, our Kubernetes cluster and API mode are set to private, and the Ingress has been created with a private IP, causing difficulties in configuring SCIM. I believe that modifying the configuration to change the Ingress from private to public IP may involve adding some lines in the ansible.vars files, but I am uncertain about the exact steps required to achieve this. Is it possible to make this adjustment without having to redeploy the entire SAS Viya setup? Any guidance or assistance you can provide on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Hi All, I hope you're doing well !! We are currently upgrading our SAS Viya version, and we have encountered a roadblock. The Inventory scan is failing with an OOMKILLED error. We have attempted to increase the memory limit, but when we tried to apply the customization changes.yaml, we received an error. Have any of you experienced this issue before? @gwootton Thank you for your response !! In the System metric, I can see only the memory used, which is inaccurate since the memory used is much less (MB). Also, I couldn't locate the total memory. Do we have any other option to check ? Thanks, Hemanth MG
