Hello,   i am trying to activate ESRI Premium Services with SAS Viya 3.3. I already activated the usage of the Open Street Map provided by ESRI - this feature is working. But we want to use the Features of the Premium Services.   What I tried is to Enable the Premium Services for my User in the Settings by Accepting the Terms and trying to fill in my ESRI User. But it says that the credentials are not valid (The credentials definetly are valid, as I can log in at our ESRI company site on the web and I have the Admin Role there). The RHEL Server on which the Installation resides has no Internet connection. I assume that Viya tries to connect to a certain URL to validate credentials? Can anyone give me a hint, or does someone knows to which URL Viya is trying to connect to authenticate the user? Then I would try to allow this URL by the whitelist.   If someone has another suggestion how to activate the Premium Services, feel free to post it.   Thank you.   Best Regards. ... View more

Hello,   i am about to do a initial configuration of an SAS Installation on a Windows Server 2016. At Stage 12 - "Load Content" the ERROR Appears.   In the server.log of the Environment Manager it says, that the insert into the EAM_KEYSTORE table in the EVManager database was aborted because the column "CERT_CHAIN" is too small with varchar(10000). I thought maybe it is possible to change the datatype for the column "CERT_CHAIN" because the chain has more than 15000 characters. So i changed the create table statement in the db-upgrade.xml in the SAS Home directory of the Environment Manager.   Unfortunately, after i started another try to initially configure the SAS Installation the datatype for the column remains varchar(10000), and the insert fails again. And again the ERROR at Stage 12 appears.   Anyone experienced something like this before? I assume that the Certifcate Chain is too long for the standard SAS Table Settings. Is there another File where i can define the datatype for the EAM_KEYSTORE Table before the configuration, so that the Chain can get inserted? I already tried to insert the Values manually, that worked - but after klicking "Retry" the ERROR appears nethertheless.   Without SSL the Configuration works fine.     Best Regards ... View more

Hello,   i installed SAS 9.4 Middle-Tier on a Windows Server 2016. Afterwards i installed the Client Tools EMiner, TextMiner, Forecast Clients, Management Console and Enterprise Guide. All Clients are seem to work well except the SAS EG. I already did all tests recommended in the SAS Documentation for Enterprise Guide troubleshooting.     Connecting to the new SAS Middle-Tier using SAS EG from another Platform functions. The Object Spawner is running. I can connect to the Middle-tier using the „no Profile Selected“ Option (Seeing only the Libraries and Directorys). I tested the connection to SAS Servers from SAS Integration Technologies Client and it works as well. I don't know if there is something that can be still configured for SAS EG? I thought that it maybe could be a problem with the Deployment plan or the Site i'm using for the installation, could this be possible, or can i already exclude these options?   Best Regards   ... Hello,   we run SAS Contextual Analysis from our Client Machines as a Web Client. The Installation is on a SAS Server Machine. The Platform is a Windows Server 2012 R2, the clients use Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.   Our Clients experience a general lack of Performance, as the Web Client of SAS Contextual Analysis is not working fluidly. The lack of Performance does not only occur while running a Analysis, but in general during navigating through the GUI of SAS Contextual Analysis. But also while small Analyses containing about 50.000 rows.   Does anyone have spontaneous suggestions, if there are any parameters or similar to change or set to increase general Performance of SAS Contextual Analysis? Or could it be the Browser itself which is leading to problems?   We only have about 2 or 3 users. For SAS EM and Textminer and SAS Contextual Analysis we only run one Application Server.     I am looking forward to hear some suggestions. Thank you already!   Best Regards ... View more

Hello,   my Questions are about the Configuration of newly added Products to an existing SAS Installation.   We already have a SAS Installation with SAS Enterprise Miner (one-machine). Therefore we have the "install directory.../SASHOME" and the Directory for Configurations called "install directory.../SAS/Eminer/Lev1". Now i am about to add a installation of SAS Forecast Server on the same Server.   Question 1:   Do I have to choose a new configuration Directory like: "install directory.../SAS/Forecast/Lev1" or should I generally use only one Config Directory? (In my Case use the existing SAS/Eminer/Lev1).   Question 2:   If I would create a new Config Directory ("SAS/Forecast/Lev1"), I been asked by the Deployment Wizard to enter a new Password for Users like sasadm@saspw and so on. These Users already exists. Should I just define the Passwort, which already exists or should I create new internal Users especially for SAS Forecast Server Configuration?   Best Regards ... Hello,   i am about to configure using https for the web application SAS Contextual Analysis. A Web Server and a Web Application Server for Contextual Analysis is installed and running.   Now i want to configure https and so far i came to the conclusion that I have to complete the following steps:   1) Stop the Web and Web Application Server 2) Change the server.xml for the Web Application Server and configure for the .keystore - File and the Certificate 3) Change the httpd - file for the Web Server and then change the httpd-ssl - File 4) Restart both Servers 5) Configure the Firewall Ports if needed 6) The Application should be reached via https within the Browser   Is this the usual way to configure https for SAS Contextual Analysis or do I have to configure something at another point in the system? Hello,   i implemented groups for user permissions in Active Directory, the users all have adminstrator permissions on the server through the groups, but in SAS they are not allowed to act like they have administrator permissions.   If I directly give them the Administrator permission on the Windows Server, without going the way of allocating the users to a certain group, they are able to perform the tasks in SAS, they weren't able to do before.   Does anyone had this kind of situation before?
