Hi, How can I find the number of days between two given dates in SAS VA using existing dates in the table? say for ex find no of days between 12 April, 2014 - 23 June, 2014. I can use any of the following functionalities to achieve it. 1. New Custom Category 2. New Calculated Item 3. New Aggregated Measure Pls you could also suggest any other ways to achieve it. Dear All, My customer wants to compare sales of a particluar day from a specific week of that month to that of the last year. Say for ex. Friday from week 1 of Jan'14 vs Friday from week 1 of Jan'13 to see the % growth achieved. Say a Bar chart must specify Week 1 week 2 to show the user which week he/she is looking at for Friday with different years. Is there a way I can achieve this in VA. greetings. satlr

I don't think sliding through different sections is possible to view it like a slide show. You could configure session timeout from management console. In this case, SAS support could do that for you. regards

Hi, just to remain you, there seems to be limited or no support from SAS for virtually running environment as they prefer to offer their support for physical set up only. I strongly recommend you to be in touch with SAS support before starting your infra set up. - satlr

Now I have got a new requirement from the customer to include geo maps. kindly suggest me how I can run the codes. should I have to create a new SAS data set? will it append as a geo category automatically which is existing in-memory in SAS VA data source?

Hi All, I am looking for coordinates for the mentioned address. The data set has a address column and it contains district names and state names. It is of one column perhaps doesn't have post code. How to get coordinates as my customer looks for geo map to locate the production units. Thanks in advance. regards

Hi All, I have an Address column which has 50,000 rows in it. The Address column is too lengthy and unstructured which has colony and area name mentioned in it. Is it possible to pick a word and draw a graph? say for example select the word ''colony'' and make a bar graph by sales amount. It would be helpful to explore location wise business if this option exists. - satlr

Pls check the user you are trying to connect using other computer. also check whether that user has full privilege. You can add required components through SMC to the given user. - satlr

Dear All, I am using Ipad and I have downloaded report that has 8 sections in it. I am unable to interact with the report objects offline. When I click on a report object, it doesn't filter instead it gives me a warning symbol asking me to connect to wifi/ cellular. Reports must work offline isn't it?. It's not a big dataset as well and the size of the data set is small. Some of the details are as follows. Size of the dataset used: 7Mb No. of rows: 30,000 No. of col: 15 SAS VA version: 6.3 Ipad Mobile BI version: 6.3 Tried with other dataset just to check whether it does only with the past one. However its the same condition with the other dataset as well. So it indicates me that it is not the problem with the datasets nor the reports that I have created. I have raised this concern to SAS support and they have acknowledged me that they too experience the same issue while trying to fix the problem. satlr

Hi Udo..thanks for your early reply. That seems to be an interesting point. But I tried categorizing the data points by quarter and month as well with the above mentioned values, I did not find any difference. Even by that way, if I leave Jan14, I am getting the proper forecast line. I am not aware of specialized forecast function, let me know if I can try that. I do not want to cutoff any data point as it represents business for the customer. At present the ERP system used by them serves the forecast functionalities of what they are looking for. - Satlr

Hi, thanks for reply. Yes the last point is considerable low. I get it right when I omit the last point (Jan'14), however customer doesn't like to see his forecast by not omitting 10 Mn USD of business for Jan'14. Thats my concern. any suggestion?
