Hi, Is there any update/documentation with regards custom made maps for sas VA? I was following some example from SAS and I managed to get the customised geographical information, in a Geo Bubble and Geo Coordinates, but not working properly in Geo REgion Map. This is after including maps into the SA Va server. I was wondering if there is documentation to explain what the steps required to have the custom areas in a Geo REgion Map. Regards, Rita

Using a class variable, it is like intercepts, the fixed effect will give you the effect for the average subject while the combination of the fixed and random will give you the value for that particular subject. This is assuming you are specifying the random statement per subject. It might be easier to give you an interpretation if I can see your model. Be aware that sometimes when specifying fixed and random effects and depending on the level of detail of the data, the random effect might be zero, because they are acting as residuals. regards, Rita

Hi Jim, If you only want to display simply one selected week at a time you can. This will require using calculated items and probably play with parameters to allow you to select the desired week. Your final list table would be something like this: Week PurchasePrice_currentweek PurchasePrice_previousweek RequiredColumn 6 187 190 -3 the variables definitions: PurchasePrice_currentweek if week='week_parameter'p return 'Purchase Price' else 0 PurchasePrice_previousweek if week='week_parameter'p-1 return 'Purchase Price' else 0 RequiredColumn PurchasePrice_currentweek-PurchasePrice_previousweek

Hi, I have found why the URL was not working. I was using only the parameter to control the buttom bar and then I was using button bar to filter to the graph. however, this was not working. I worked around by coding the measure that goes into the graph to be dependent on the value of the parameter. You can also use the parameter to code your filter. With these two alternatives, the button is not really adding value. Cheers,

Hi, I am struggling with creating a visualization that represents the scatter/standard deviation...around a particular measure. Adding the simple error bars has been an issue; getting a box plot another issue... My data has daily measures and I want to aggregate them by month, showing the average and for example the 1st and 3rd Quartile. I have started using a custom graph with a vector and a line graph. But I got no where... I guess, what I am looking for are suggestions of visualizations that have worked in SAS VA. There are plenty out there in SAS, excel...but I would like to know how is has been represented in SAS VA. i will keep this post updated in case I find one way. Stock high-Low Profile Plot When I have the source data aggregated in te lvel that I want to display, the stock high-low plot seems to do the job. However, when the data is daily and I would like the graph to aggregate my measurements monthly, I achieve a very different looking graph. Table with aggregation is fine. Just not the graph The Output Graph (very different...) If anyone knows the answer, what i might be doing wrong, it would be a massive help. email back, if you have dealt with STD/scatter in another way...

Yes, you can. This depends what your desire output is. For example: I am predicting time based on a quadratic model of the age of my subjects (reason why I have age and age2, where age2=age*age). If my model includes: model time=age age2; random int age age2/subject=ind; My output using fixed effect would be the quadratic age trend for an average subject. When you combined the fixed and the random solutions per subject, you would get the quadratic age trend for each of your subjects. Let me know if this answers your question. Rita

Hi, i have followed this blog post, URL and parameters, to access and control some of the visualizations using an URL. Hi, I have tried to use a customized graph with a time series and a scatter plot. The combined graph still cannot be used for the interaction. So this is not a solution. Can you let me know if you have come across any potential solution? Regards, Rita

@TedStolarczyk thanks for the reply. The only reason why I'm using the geo region mas is that I do not have the lat/lon coordinates. I'm using the regions that SAS recognized. I will investigate this a bit further. To summarize the answer, it is not possible to hide/not shown the warning triangle. Thanks! Rita

Thanks for the reply, no matter what. Do you remember if you developed the graphs in VA or it was in another visualization tool (they look like Tableau)?
