Hello, sorry for my bad english, I'm writing to you from Germany. I'm currently switching over from MS Analysis Services to SAS and to evaluate Enterprise Guide. I try to do some ETL steps in EG. I assigned librefs with the LIBNAME statement, opened and joined tables with Query Procs and uses LIBNAME to deallocate the librefs. The Project works fine if I run it step by step: 1. LIBNAME ... 2. Open Table ... 3. Join ... and write back 4. LIBNAME ... CLEAR But when I run the whole project I get multiple error messages. Am I the only person totally confused by the switch to metadata in SAS9 (and E.G. of course). Maybe it was there in ver. 8.2 and I was just oblivious - now I am somewhat familiar with the information contained in the dictionary tables and corresponding sashelp views. However, where I am working we go thru contortions to create new permanent SAS datasets, can *not* write to "sasuser" and the list goes on. I recently came across a SAS note, SN-014080, supplied by one of the terrific Tech Support consultants. But shouldn't there be an easier way to understand how metadata impacts the way we use SAS in SAS9, especially if we've used the product for a while. Hello, I'm trying to build a query in the expression builder and it shows an error msg in the log, when I run the process for which i've written the query. If I run the same query in the Enhanced editor, it runs perfectly. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Hi, I'm new to using ods html, and I was wondering if someone could help me. The user enters a valid PROC SQL statement, and the dispatcher program takes it and display it to a html output page. Right now, when the SQL statement returns no result, the HTML output page is blank. How can I display a message on the HTML output page telling the users that no output returned from the query they requested, instead of having just a blank page? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! ...
