SAS Support Communities launches PROC Star program

By now, you should be familiar with our Super Users. They have done a tremendous job on the communities, and are truly the cream of the crop. We established the Super User program in February 2016, and have since inducted many members into the fold.

Recognizing the next group

It’s now time to recognize another – growing – group of folks on the community. These members have shown a knack for helping, encouraging and leading other community members. They have gone above and beyond when offering their advice to other SAS users. For this reason, they have been selected for the PROC Star program.

The PROC Star role

PROC Stars serve a one-year terms and receive some special abilities, such as moving stray posts, that will help them grow their community leadership. And they get access to the SAS communities staff to ask questions and learn more about the inner workings of the communities.

The existing Super Users are incredibly talented and dedicated, and it is a privilege to join them. I am thankful that my sometimes-rougher-than-average edges have been overlooked.... 

Am I dreaming or is tiny NZ over-represented, with 3 members? 🙂

@art297 I meant 3 out of 30 Super Users, or a whopping 10%!

Anyway, not hoping to start a nationalistic debate at all, the mood is definitely not to encourage these ideas nowadays. 

It's just that NZ is such a small and remote country that we can't help but feel overly proud of any accomplishment at all that puts us on the map.

Congrats @art297 , I see no surprises really with 42+ years of sas experience. You have always been super supportive and unbiased to everybody regardless of whether one is beginner, intermediate or an expert. You really fill everyone. "A true SAS artist"

Personally, very pleased. I can't thank my parents enough, professors at Depaul University, Chicago where I live. It's been a phenomenal journey and I hope to be among the likes of super achievers like you.

I have learnt a lot from this community and when trying to help others I feel challenged to create good examples and provide a good explanation. It makes me think of why I do a certain thing and how I do it, it is really refreshing for the mind 🙂
