Hi @MaheshRSA    Standard plan files are shipped with the SAS Software depot itself. What you are looking for is a custom deployment file which can only be generated by SAS team. Suggest you reach out to your account management team or support to request for the support. Generating this file requires understanding of how the architecture is going to be configured at your site so that components can be distributed accordingly otherwise you may run into issues during your deployment. There are two types of deployment plans: standard and custom. A standard deployment plan describes a common configuration. Standard deployment plans are provided in the SAS Deployment Wizard. A custom deployment plan is created by you and your SAS representative specifically for your site. If you have a custom deployment plan, an XML file (or a ZIP file containing an XML file) was emailed to you. If you have a standard deployment plan, you just need the name of the plan. During the installation, the standard deployment plan is available from a drop-down list on a page in the SAS Deployment Wizard. Your deployment plan must be a valid SAS 9.4 plan. SAS Deployment is sequential - Meta (always first), compute and web. I always prefer to do it install first and config second so its clean. Best way to upgrade is to plan ahead with proper backups of the environment. You can ask the SAS TS team for any known issues during this upgrade path and if there are any risks then you can put a mitigation plan to avoid that risk. If you are working in a disconnected environment, you might have setup an image registry outside of OpenShift using third party vendors like Artifactory or Harbor etc., or using QUAY, if you have the sub to install the OpenShift platform itself. It's better to mirror Viya 4 images to these registries instead of the internal image registry that is enabled by default on the OpenShift platform. For application deployments with few images I think using the internal image registry is fine, but for SAS platform itself hosting it externally would make better sense. Also, I am not sure if VmWare storage supports RWX which is required for OpenShift internal image registry to function in HA mode. ... View more

Platform web services is a component that has to be deployed on SAS Mid-Tier node in one of the SASServerX_Y App servers. Once it's deployed and started, Mid-Tier node should be registered as a LSF client to the LSF Cluster so that it can query and run the necessary commands to display information on this UI. Hi @AnirbanJD1  I am not sure if you were able to find answer to this question. But IMO, SAS doesn't publish sizing based for generic workloads, except for the minimum resource requirements for each solution. This could be because every environment sizing could vary based on the type of workloads it will be used for.  Also, SAS provides a free sizing report for every environment, so you can reach out to your account management team for this report. There should be a template questionnaire to be filled based on the workload requirements that is shared by SAS, based on which sizing could be determined. Hope this helps! ... View more
