here are some stats i collected, you can clearly see that when i move betwen modelling view to forecast screen its cost me 9-11 secs and i am talking about 2500 units where i have to evaluate forecast. Open FS 15 sec Connecting to Prod 17.79 sec Open project (SRDF_D_RC) 26.6 sec Select top hierarchy 4 sec Select lowest hierarchy 3 sec Switch to another lowest hierarchy 3 sec Select Modeling View 9 sec Select New Model (ARIMA) 6 sec Make it default 13 sec Reconcile 60 sec Override forecast by copying from excel to FS 5:46 Min Reconcile forecast 14.16 Min

is anyone aware if Modern viewer has similar functionality as in Classical viewer, for ex : 1. Export to Excel 2. Print Image 3. Sort 4. Export image etc.

Greetings All, I am looking for an comparison between Classic viewer vs Modern viewer, we are very closed to deploy few reports in Prod for our senior management and from last few days I am seeing all kinds of errors in Modern viewer, we are using IE on windows 7 error is mainly related to Out of stack space.. if my friends in this community answer me if I should go with Classic viewer over Modern or should I changed the browser , I shall be highly obliged, issue with browser change is that it will be difficult as we have company standard to use IE, but if there is no other option then I can take that path as well. many regards

Hi, there are few jobs which are schduled and can be manully run at the commond prompt. but now my business wants to run those jobs themselves and they are not very familar with command line prompts, so now they are asking to have some GUI with buttons so as they click on the button and in the background job is executed. 🙂 so my question here is can i build a java applet which can call these .sh files or can i build a small program in EG which can call these .sh files? thanks in advance.

thanks Chris can u share some toher ways that i can use? my problem is that my business users are familar with Excel, so they gave me data in Excel only, but our SAS solution looks for Tab delimited files, so i have to convert the excel files before loading it into the solution, so looking for a simple steps t automate this step , i am looking for a solution where in my Business users drop their excel files in one folder and then i run a utility to convert all the files to .txt files and the load it into SAS..

do any one know how to convert Excel sheets into Txt or CSv file, i searched internet and found one proc exportFromXL but unable to use it, has anyone used this before or know of someother procedure? thanks in advance
