In my code, the "event" is referring to the triggering event for the flow, not the transition between each job inside a flow. Each of those connections in your flow is a StepPrecedence object I mentioned. In your screen shot you are looking at one of many. The link I provided mentions the metabrowse function. But as I see it, once a user is member of that group, that user can execute any code, without using my Stored Processes. Just what I do not want. @JackHamilton The same goes, I am afraid, for something with meta bound libraries. That leaves the compiled view option. The idea had crossed my mind, but I was hoping for something more based on metadata. I am not sure if @JackHamilton is referring to a compiled macro or a compiled SCL-entry, but both options seem doable. Of course, then those things have to be hidden, but I think that can be done best on OS-level: just make the physical location only readable for the StoredProcess-account. ... View more

When I played with making a repository for use in SAS/Studio all I really had to do in SAS/Studio itself was put in the URL to the webserver that would surface the properly formatted XML files. How does that link actually get used?  Is there anyway that the webserver that is returning the result could know which user is asking for it?  Could the URL be constructed to include the user's name as a parameter? If so then the webserver could delivery metadata based on the users id (or group etc). ... View more

I created a Global Repository using AWS S3 bucket to host the repository files (.ctm, .xml, .html...) so that custom SAS Tasks are automatically linked/created when a user logs into SAS Studio.   As for hiding SAS Tasks depending on user groups, I have not done this type of configuration. I would be interested in this as well.   As for hiding code or log while the SAS Task is running, the approach is as follows: 1) Create a .sas driver program that contains the macro variables (if required) from the .ctm inputs. 2) The driver program is placed at the very bottom of the .ctm file with a %include statement. 3) The same driver program has the following options at the top of the program, options minoperator nomstored nomlogic nomprint nodate nosource nonumber;    ...
