I have been a data analyst / database administrator for over 15 years, and started using SAS in 2010. I have worked in both telecommunications and healthcare, and have been fortunate to have a wide variety of experiences that have given me a substantial "tool box" of skills. I am a Star Wars geek (if that's not obvious), and a fan of anything sci-fi/fantasy. I am a runner (half-marathons) and am an avid, lifelong learner.
I have been / continue to be heavily involved in the local, regional and global SAS forums, most recently becoming President of the local Health Users' Group as well as a member of the Executive for the Toronto Area SAS Society (Interfaces session). My poster at the 2012 SAS Global Forum won 2nd Place (http://www.lexjansen.com/cgi-bin/xsl_transform.php#sgf2012.217-2012 or direct link http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings12/217-2012.pdf)
Although I've been an active blogger on the SAS Canada community, I've recently had the opportunity to write a series of articles on the communities.sas.com site about SAS University Edition, feel free to check them out here:
