As above you need to do a compute field You can use the INTCK Function get the difference between days - i.e INTCK('Day','01APR2016"D,"06APR2016"D) The result in this example is 5

Many thanks Michelle Yes we tried this using a Chrome browser and the prompts appeared as was suggested. Thanks again - your comments were very much appreciated. Unfortuntaely, we have another issue which we will raise another thread whereby when making multiple selections in a prompt which has a dynamic list, the stored process does not run however works fine in Enterprise Guide, Excel using SAS Addin and Stored process web application (which we have created an external link from dashboard). If we reduce the selections for the prompt in VA it runs ok. Strange??

Hi Michelle We have 7.1. We have looked into the 7.3 user guide which mentions the classic viewer and modern viewer however in 7.1 there is no mention of this. Do you know if this can be done in 7.1? Many Thanks for your comments. Regards

Hi there We have added a new section to our dashboard and inserted a stored process object which has many prompts, some being mandatory. In the viewer when the stored process is selected the stored process and is immediately executed. The prompt do not dialog is not appear and do not have any opportunity to enter prompt values. We have no difficulty running and selecting prompt values in VA when this is not attached to a dashboard. I have enclosed the message that is appearing. This is frustrating - any clues or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have encounterd the same problem but have added a step immediately at the end of the stored process as per excerpt below. This works the same way as printing results into the results window in Base SAS or Enterprise Guide. %INCLUDE "&File_Path.\&SP..sas"; %RunSP; DATA _NULL_; FILE PRINT; PUT "&metric. ran successfully"; PUT %STR(); RUN; %STPEND;

Hi Venu Many thanks for your response. This is great. We are using Visual Analytics version 7.1. Unfortunately we do not have Conditional Grant available in the drop down as per your list of instructions. I have enclosed a screenshot. One final question, is there any way that we can restrict by variable name for particular users or user groups? Thanks again Richard

We are starting to design our reporting framework. We have 2 questions which we would appreciate some input. 1. We need to restrict the viewing of certain reports with a dashboard which contains mulitple reports to specific user groups. What is the best practise for this? In SMC, best practise would suggest that this should not occur at the object level. 2. In terms of drilldown functionality - what is the best practise for restrict drilldown by specific user groups for the same report? i.e We may want a senior staff to be able to drill all the way down into the line level data however other staff to only access to higher level information.
