If you are 100% sure your project screen shot is from a project that you once ran and saved, then, feel free to attach it and I will see if there is any of your code to recover.     And, your older version of EG likely set version control/program history to active by default and likely you are not using that feature so I would turn it off  to hopefully help avoid loss of work the option is in EG > Tools > Options > (either under SAS Programs or Program History or Version Control).   Also, any chance you lost connection (network, client, server) or EG locked up and you had to terminate? If that happened and when you restarted EG you might have been prompted to open a recovered project and that recovered project might have been a bad recovery then you possibly saved it over your last good project save. This can happen with anti-virus software locking or deleting files that are being used by EG causing a lock and/or bad project recovery.  So, if you are ever prompted to open/save a recovered project make sure you save that recovered project to a new filename.   Regards, Bill   ... Alternatively, you can use the built-in Project Log feature w/o the need for adding any coding. The Project Log feature can keep a running log for each project including the logs created for your code as well as the logs created by EG tasks. Tools > Options > Project and Process Flows > then select "Enable project log for new projects" > OK to close/save. Likely you are seeing the problem using a high resolution monitor. Close EG then try setting your Windows display settings with different combinations to see if the text and icons and spacing improve.  You might want to compare your Windows display settings with a colleague using the same type high resolution monitor yet they don't have the same display problem.   Also, if your display was working fine then suddenly one day the display was bad, then perhaps resetting your EG user profile and restarting your machine and/or remote session might resolve the issue.   1. Close EG and reboot. 2. Then, in the Search box on your Windows taskbar type    %appdata%\sas     then click Enter 3. Rename the EnterpriseGuide     folder to     EnterpriseGuide_OLD 4. Hi Ronein,   If you just want to use the EG built-in tasks (as most EG users do) then you can turn off the option to enable SAS Studio tasks which will avoid any error  regarding SAS Studio tasks. From EG go to Tools > Options > Tasks > SAS Studio Integration > then un-select "Display SAS Studio tasks...." then click OK to close/save Options.   However, if you want to use the SAS Studio interface and/or  you want to use SAS Studio tasks within the EG interface, I would install SAS Studio 3.82. Hi Xinxin,   Suggestions to consider that might be helpful:   1.) In the "Define Field Attributes" window  you can Ctrl+LeftMouse to select multiple data variables and modify them together. This is helpful when multiple columns need to be changed to the same attributes. See the first image below. 2.) If you have multiple TEXT files that are identical in column name and attributes, only the data values are different, then, you can easily change the source data of the Import Data task then just run the Import task w/o having to redo the column attributes.  From the Process Flow window right-click on the source data and choose Properties to then Change the source. See the second image below. 3.) You mentioned your technique was difficult to manage....something about not being able to see your screen shots.       It seems you should just keep a word doc open to save each of your screen shots. 4.) It is not clear why data step or proc import code was not working for you or why you were not able to do it for other reasons. If you are getting errors about SAS not being able to find the file because it is on your local EG client pc and your SAS server is on a remote SASAPP metadata server, then, you could use Tasks > Data > Copy Files task which will allow you to copy one or more files from your EG client up to your SAS server....then run your datastep or proc import code referencing the directory on your SASAPP server. I'm able to export the project log and it has all the logs as expected.   I'm using EG 8.4 Update 2. Click   "More Options"  (see first highlighted image below), then click Properties, then select "Turn on project log"   Once you turn on project log, then run some code/tasks, then, from a Log or Code window choose Share > Log > Export as a step in project, from there you have the option to select the Project Log  (see second image below).   Let me know if you wanted something different or if these steps don't work for you.   Regards, Bill           ... Hi Fents, I'm using EG 8.3. I ran a program to create SAS Report results (proc print data=sashelp.class;), then  used File > New > Report, then selected the results to add to the new Report. Then, I made changes to my code that would cause the results to change (added a title and selected  only specific variables to display), then I reran the Process Flow  which updated the SAS Report results as well as my final Report. If you don't want to run the entire Process Flow you can lasso (to select) the item/s you wish to update and include the Report, then Run > Run Selected Items, the Report should show the expected changes. I reported this as a problem but unfortunately no fix/change was made.   Several folks on this thread mainly wanted a way of knowing the job finished and not necessarily needed the last dataset/result to open.   So, in those cases,  using View > Submission Status is an easy way to confirm your job finished.   Alternatively, you could add a program at the end of your process flow that generates a dataset then right-click the dataset to then select Share > Email as a step in project.
