Hi Firstly sorry for the multiple posts, however there is no admin forum so not sure which discussion group would best suit. Hi. With the new changes to the Communities and SAS profile login, my user id and password are nolonger cached. I now have to log in every time I visit the communities page (if I want to post of access my profile). This also affects logging into the main sas site, and I have to login if I want to down load things etc. There use to be a remember my login check box. Also if I log into one sas site it should know me when navigating to another, ie Global site to Communities. This all changed when the new forums were release, Please Please Please sort this out as this is very fustrating. Apart from that I can see the advantages of this new community site and am finding useful (once I found my way) Kind Regards Barry

Couldn't you use the MDSec macros to determine the SAS groups the user is a member of? Located in the Foundation Macros location. Barry

Hi. I remember another thread of this nature. SAS' response would be WRS replaces VDE. My opinion is that it doesn't as the users would then have to be Authors, or have a modified role, and WRS is clunky when using OLAPS, compared to VDE. Very dissapointed when I heard that this happened. Advice review your DE's before migrating - as a WRS report is created for each bookmark, rather than having a section for a bookmark. However, we had no issues migrating, all DE migrated as expected, so at least SAS got that bit right. Can't comment re API and appdev. Regards Barry

I know not very helpful for you, We have come across other issues with Proc Export on Windows 7 and windows 2008 (64bit) envs logged issues but was told not fixing (by way of hotfix) and they are re-writing the EXPORT procedure for 9.3... The recomendation we were given were to use PC File Server to handle the exports. Quote from TS "Regardless the answer is still the same, you have to use the pc file server to do this well until 9.3. Have a look at the MDsec Macros. Found in Foundation macro location... You may need a admin user/unrestricted to see all the users and logins Assuming you are using 9.2

I know there is an option in 4.3 to turn off. In 4.2 I think there is a workaround for this http://support.sas.com/kb/35/771.html . Now the question is, shouldn't EG be more intelligent and know what is licensed on the server it is running and not generate tha code if not licensed and vice versa. Barry
