I just added this line to my config file and it worked to answer my own problem. -LOGPARM "WRITE=IMMEDIATE" The syntax of how to convert a command line parameter to a config file entry was something I was wondering about. This article helped me. @ballardw put an equal sign, I didn't use one. It might be optional. The angle brackets I figure were used to indicate the three sub-options are optional and not required in the quotes. Thanks

Well I was having problems getting the API to work on my system with EG7, if you remember. I gave up and installed EG8; I'm sure I have the same issue that I did with EG7 (AT LEAST). So, so much for installing the new version for a fix. I have that outstanding SAS Tech Ticket. I'll work through them. This is was what I needed to know -- thanks

Ok, answering my own question -- one needs to enable program history in the options. from the Menubar > Tools > Options > Program History.

I'm looking at the style htmlBLUE. When I study the STYLE and CLASS keywords in its parent styles, both and Statistical and Default, I find definitions using both keywords, STYLE and CLASS, with the same style-element-name, and style attribute specifications with identical identifiers. I'm curious to know the reason, because in the context of STYLE color and CLASS color it seems that they are defining the same thing, yet the parent styles have different entries for each of these keywords. What, if any, is inherited? Are they the same, and therefore each overwrite one another?
