Enterprise Guide 8.1: Program Commit history

I have a file that has EG 7.15 commit history information.  My installation of EG 8 did not see it.  Is there something wrong with my EG 8 installation or is there a way to make it work?

Ok, answering my own question -- one needs to enable program history in the options.  from the Menubar > Tools > Options > Program History.
