What you need is the ability to group separately by two classifiers, one for marker symbol, one for marker color.  This is NOT supported for SCATTER plot, but IS supported in SERIES plot.  You can use SERIES plot with markers and set line thickness=0.  Then, you can use the GROUP, GROUPMC and GROUPMS to control the marker color and symbols separately.  Remember to use a Style with Attrpriority=none, or set Attrpriority=none in the ODs Graphics statement to see the different marker symbols. ... The VBAR x-axis is considered discrete by default.  Since you did not provide data, it is not clear if the "day" variable is numeric or character.   If "Day" is numeric, providing a VALUES option with linear data should still work.  These would be in data range, not indexes.  If "Day" is numeric, you can also make the x-axis TYPE=LINEAR.  Else, you can provide the values you want as quoted character values. ... Now, if you want a better way, create a discrete attr map with the FORMATTED values in the data set in the order you want, and set their attributes.  Include the column "Show" with value "ATTRMAP" in the Discrete Attr Map.  This forces all values defined in the map to be displayed in the order they are in the map.  See this article.       ...
