Recently @Jay54 delivered a great presentation about the history and use of ODS Graphics in SAS.  It was a special presentation for our SAS Support Communities Super Users, but it's such a good overview that we decided to share it with the world.

Are you looking for a way to understand how ODS graphics work from the inside out? Spend 54 minutes watching this talk from Sanjay, as he covers:

  • History of ODS graphics
  • How GTL (graph template language) works
  • How to layer statements in SGPLOT to get the result you want
  • How blogs and communities help you to learn more and how they inspire improvements in the software.

Sanjay's slides are attached to this topic.  Enjoy!

I was wondering if @Jay54' presentation would be made available to the wider SAS community and pleased to see it has! It's a great presentation for SAS data visualization programmers to gain an understanding of SAS graphics history and lots of tips! Highly encourage you to review the material.

Thanks again Sanjay and thanks @ChrisHemedinger for sharing it.

Cheers,

Michelle
