Hi:   What class are you working in? I am confused because most of our classes have explicit instructions for SAS OnDemand for Academics students and the class files for SAS OnDemand do NOT include EGP (Enterprise Guide) project files.   You will NOT be able to practice any of the Enterprise Guide classes with the SAS OnDemand for Academics server. What we recommend is that you stick to the Programming level classes, such as Programming 1, Programming 2, SQL 1, Macro Language 1, etc, all of which have instructions ONLY for the SAS OnDemand for Academics data creation.   Please post the title of the class you're taking so I can verify that the OnDemand instructions are inside that class.     If you prefer not to post your class information here, you can always send mail to elearn@sas.com in order to have the instructors on duty help with your question. Hi:   The good news is that any independent user can set up a SAS OnDemand for Academics account, which would give you access to both PROC SGPIE and PROC GCHART. That way you could compare the output. So, even if you do not have access to PROC SGPIE through your work or school account, you can set up a SAS OnDemand account for non-commercial learning purposes. PROC SGPIE was first available in SAS 9.4 Maintenance release 6, which is several years old now.   The syntax for PROC SGPIE would turn out to be something like this (untested): title "SGPIE Hours Watching Monthly"; proc sgpie data=work.DataforSAS2; pie Program / response=Hours_Watching_Monthly_rec datalabeldisplay=(category percent) datalabelloc=inside direction=clockwise otherpercent=5 sliceorder=unformatted; run; title; You could play with using STYLEATTRS or play with using an attibute table. Hi:   I see the major issue with your code as the fact that ROW_COUNT is under an ACROSS item. That means your COMPUTE block has to use absolute column numbers and the reference _col_.sum won't work.That's the reason you're getting these errors:   ERROR: The variable type of 'ROW_COUNT.SUM'n is invalid in this context. ERROR: The variable type of '_COL_.SUM'n is invalid in this context.   The "invalid in this context" is directly related to your ROW_COUNT being under SUBCAT which is an ACROSS item. You MUST use absolute column numbers.     So as an example using your posted output, if CAT is the first column then the column for ROW_COUNT under for SUBCAT=T value  will be _c2_, as shown below:   SUBCAT=U will be _c3_, SUBCAT=V will be _c4_ and SUBCAT=W will be _c5_. This is because of the PROC REPORT "preprocessing" step that assigns absolute column numbers to any columns that are under an ACROSS item. That means your COMPUTE block must refer only to the absolute column numbers, as shown below:   Since you only wanted to change the RBREAK row and not add another summary row, I made a character version of ROW_COUNT called CHAR_RC under each SUBCAT value and then I did all my changes to the absolute columns for CHAR_RC in the COMPUTE AFTER block. No need to use SYMGET, since this was just a one-time retrieval of the macro variable values from the Global Symbol Table. Also, I tend to avoid the pretext style override because I find that it is not always reliable across all destinations, especially when used with numeric items. So, that's the reason I made CHAR_RC and then just used NOPRINT for the final report #2.   I'm sure you could write more complex code, including with DO Loops or even Macro %DO loops, but I used code that should be understandable to someone who's only taken Programming 1.   Hope this helps, Cynthia   ... Hi:   This is the form of the XLSX Libname usage we show in Programming 1: Note how if I want to write anything to WANT.XLSX, I first need a LIBNAME statement that establishes the name of the workbook I want to create and associates RRR as the LIBREF with that workbook. Then, I need to use RRR.MyClass in the DATA statement and I need to have the input data (in this case, SASHELP.CLASS) in the SET statement. "MyClass" will become the name of the worksheet in the new workbook, because of the reference RRR.MyClass -- RRR points to WANT.XLSX and MyClass establishes the name of the sheet in this workbook.   If I want to write 2 sheets using this method, then I would do something like this: Note how I use a WHERE statement in the second DATA step to filter the rows from SASHELP.SHOES that are going to be written to the WANT_TWO.XLSX workbook in the ShoeData worksheet. Hi:   @Tom is correct the simple form of WIDTH= is a LISTING only option that impacts the output window results, but has no impact on ODS destinations like ODS RTF, ODS PDF, ODS HTML or ODS EXCEL. @Ksharp is also correct in that he shows you the use of the CELLWIDTH= style override syntax. However, I prefer NOT to use percents or pixels as the value of CELLWIDTH because I find the percents less reliable in the destinations I use than specifying a more concrete unit of measure, like IN or CM. Hi,   Normally, character variables in SAS do NOT internally retain quotes. The place where you usually need to use quotes is in IF statements, and WHERE statements or any place where you are using a quoted string to set the value of a character variable.   So, going back to your original post, where you showed an IF statement, I made some fake data and tested your IF statement, as shown below:   As you can see, the IF statement worked correctly for purposes of the comparison when the IF statement used "&prefix.101AB" in the comparison with the TYPE variable value. And, as you can see in the LOG, the internally stored value for TYPE does NOT contain quotes, just as the internally stored value of ACTION does not contain quotes.   It's really not clear to me what you need to do or why you need to store quotes for the value of TYPE. Hi, My suggestion is that you open the Server Files and Folders pane and find Totals.csv in the file list. Then, when you find the file, right click on the file name and in the popup window, choose Properties. The Location field of the Properties window will show you the EXACT and full path to use. I suggest you test your program by hard-coding the path without using macro variables first and make sure it works. As an example of what could go wrong, if you have TOTALS.CSV in a sub-folder under /home, called my data, then the correct path would be something like: /home/u12345678/mydata/totals.csv You need to know, exactly, what the full path to totals.csv is before you can code a macro variable to supply part of the path in code.
