It's that time of year. The brightest minds from around the world come together to use SAS Analytics, AI and open source on Microsoft Azure to collaborate in the #SAShackathon. Registration is now open (through August 31) and the Hack runs from September 15 through October 11. The SAS Hackathon is such a great event, we're featuring it in the August edition of the SAS Bowl.
Hackers bring their idea and data and SAS provides a subject matter expert as a mentor, free access to our suite of industry-leading software, and a month to accelerate the vision. This year hackers not only get access to SAS Viya, but SAS Viya Copilot and SAS Data Maker, among other tools. Teams are divided into tracks based on the nature of their project. Participants also receive access to enablement resources, virtual learning labs, training courses and more. The SAS Hackathon is so cool, @thiago cut this rap about it.
Calling all students! While students can still create or join teams in the industry tracks, this year’s SAS Hackathon offers a new option: Students can register for the Student Individual track using their academic email. Participants in this track will use Cortex, an analytics simulation game
You can find more information on the Hackathon on the SAS Hacker's Hub in the SAS Support Community. We even have a matchmaking section where we pair individuals looking for a team with teams seeking specific skill sets. Below are other SAS Hackathon-related resources we'll use to create questions for the game.
For those who may be new to the SAS Bowl, you can find game history and specifics in this Community memo. There you'll also find links to previous events, which include recordings.
Register for the event and receive an invite with game details and a Teams meeting link. On game day, Join the TEAMS meeting to play, and show off your SAS and worldly knowledge while competing for bragging rights and SAS Community game gear.
