Hi all,

SAS Viya 3.3
SAS VA 8.2
Browser - GoogleChrome v.68.0

We have a performance issue with one of the reports in SAS VA in Viya
Report contains :
    one data source table - 18GB . This table was loaded to CAS server
    5 aggregated functions/measures -without aggregate functions report working faster less than 10 seconds

It takes more than 30 seconds to load reports measures and graphics, should be faster

Can somebody help understand which logs or configuration in Viya should I look through to understand why aggregate functions work so slow ( I suppose all calculation performs in CAS server) ?

@BeNur,

There are many factors that could potentially affect the performance. I would suggest you open a track with our BI team.

Your description suggests that report performance without the 5 aggregated measures is OK. What about other VA reports? Are they performing acceptably? If you have only one report with poor performance then that suggests the problem is with this report and not with your VA server performance in general.

On the other hand if you are seeing slow performance in other reports, occasionally or more frequently, then a VA server performance tuning exercise may be worthwhile. We had issues like this earlier this year and optimising JVM settings solved the problem. As already advised, this is best done via a track with SAS Tech Support.
