Philosophical question...
We are hopefully to the point where we can begin rolling out VA reports to the campus and wanted to ask what some of you are doing to restrict/grant access to groups of users? Our initial thoughts were to create groups and give them access to folders that contain meaningful reports. We are just looking for some feedback on what approach may work the best.
For clarity, we basically have a College Administration (Provost, President, VP's etc), Department chairs, faculty (who should only see reports of their data which we are attempting through row level security using the USERID:: functionality). From there we have directors and office staff which may have the need to see reports in one of the other folders listed.
Again, not looking specifically at any one answer just some guidance/insight and approach.
Thanks,
Gary
