In our organization, modification rights are centralized and granted to a relatively small number of users.

As a result, in a Visual Analytics report that includes a parameter page, only a few of us can lock or define certain parameter values within a selection list. These predefined values are then shared across all report viewers.

I would like to know whether it is possible to grant a specific user limited editing rights, either on a particular object or on a specific report page. The goal would be to allow that person to manage and update the predefined parameter selections independently, without requiring full report administration rights.

I assume this would also require the ability to save changes, but ideally without giving full control over the entire report.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining this clearly, but essentially I would like to provide a user with additional modification capabilities while keeping their permissions restricted to a specific area of the report rather than granting complete editing access.

Visual Analytics does not have a function to set granular Permissions. As you might know, you can add hidden page that will be visible to report designers. For more information, please refer to Add a Hidden Page or a Pop-Up Page to a Report.

Hi YannRC,

As I understand you have a page with control objects that set parameter values throughout the report. You want this page to be visible to certain people. Please check out this blog: Visual Analytics: Limit the Visibility of a Page to specified users / ... - SAS Support Communities.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Regards,

Nithin
