The total represents all of the values in the table. You cannot logically make a filter from that unless the table already being filtered by a control or by the drill-down state of the crosstab.

Even the filters on the selected cell isn’t applied to the target page here. Not sure why

It's hard to troubleshoot this without being able to see what you have.

Check the Actions pane for your Page 1 crosstab to make sure a page link is defined.

Is it possible that the target object uses a different data source / table? You would need to define mappings if that is the case.

Nope, it is not. Infact, my whole report is controlled by a date slider

You wouldn't see a filter based on the date slider because it affects the whole report already.

At this point I am just not sure we are understanding one another.

You might want to create a track with technical support so that you can show them what you're trying to do in a more private setting.

Or, you could create a mock report using fake data and share that with us.
