Greetings,

Is it possible to change the wording on a splash screen in SAS VA 7.5. The image below shows an image of a splash screen when a user attempts to access a report that they do not have permissions for. Can this wording be changed? Teh resource is on the server, but it cannot be accessed by the user.

Thank you,

Gary

That message sounds very generic to me. VA would have to differentiate between reports that don't exist at all and those you don't have permission to access to get the wording you want. That would require a change to VA application source code. You could post this as a SASware ballot suggestion.

Thanks SASkiwi,

Thanks you for the reply. It would be nice to have more specific messages, but this message, that "The requested resource was not on the server" is just inaccurate. It does exist and only causes confusion with users and developers.

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,

I was able to confirm the issue you have found on VA 7.5. The wrong message is being displayed.

On Viya, we are showing the correct message ("Unable to access the requested resource on the server.")

If you could report this issue to SAS Technical Support, they should be able to register this issue in the system properly and inform you of any fixes or workarounds that might exist.

Thanks,

Sam
