I tried to open a file named *.sas7bvew using EG.

The file was created on SunOS, but when I open it in EG, it is garbage....

There are import options, that don't seem to do anything....

I tried open->data,  import... Same thing..

Any help appreciated!

It's an Index not a data set.  Probably why you cannot peak at it from EG.

This might shed some light:

That externsion if for a view.  I do not think that views are portable across platforms.  EG would need to download the data from the view to SAS dataset (or other format) to be able to read it natively as EG is NOT SAS.
