Well, my irritation with tech aside, I know SAS for academics is free, but is it possible to enable the Send To Excel?

You can use PROC EXPORT in SAS OnDemand for Academics to create an XLSX file in your session, and then download it from SAS Studio (which will be a browser-managed download).
