Hi,
I have a requirement where i am a getting a PGP encrypted file from a server. Is there a way in which i can import file data directly into a SAS library using SAS Enterprise guide. I need to do the decryption also within the SAS code preferably using import porcedure or using infile. Is this possible?
Regards,
Naveen
Hi,
I would suggest you speak to your IT group. This is a transmission issue, i.e. the encryption is on the sending and recieving a file, so you would need some software to devrypt the package on your end. This should be taken care of by your IT group. As far as I am aware there is no method of opening such a file in SAS directly, you would need third party software to do it.
There has already been a discussion of this in https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Procedures/Decryption-of-PGP-encrypted-dataset/m-p/260445
