I teach an introductory SAS course at a local community college, and some of my students have asked me about the certification exam.

When I took the exam several years ago, there were a number of questions about the Input Buffer and PDV. However, I don't see these topics in the new Exam Content Guide. Are they still tested?

@geraldbelton, The exam has been updated a lot in the past few years. The content guide reflects the most current information in regards to what is currently being tested on. I do know that the current certification guide covers information about the PDV and how it works, etc. However, the input buffer information was removed when DATALINES and INFILE/INPUT statements were removed as well.

PDV is still covered in the guide and training, but more as a way to learn about how everything works 🙂

Hope that helps a little bit!
