SAS Bowl XXV, SAS Extension for Visual Studio Code -- Game Recap

SAS Bowl XXV, SAS Extension for Visual Studio Code was packed with questions and information on the new developer's tool for the popular IDE. The timing of the event was perfect. Our winner, and long-time SAS Bowl participant @ronan, indicated he had just started looking into VS Code for work. He then realized SAS and VS Code were crossing paths with the extension and at the SAS Bowl. Plain serendipitous.

Game Highlights

  • You can connect to SAS Viya and run code from VS Code using the SAS extension!
  • We learned that Santa Claus does not own the North Pole; but then again, no one owns it, so he may have a stake in it.
  • While Duke is the highest of the five ranks of royal peerage, emcee @joeFurbee likes the sound of Viscount Joe.
  • Cherries have more sugar than pineapples (12.8 gm vs 9.9 gm of sugar per 100 gm of fruit).
