SPDS 5.2 failure at startup

Hi all,

when I start SPDS 5. 2, I get the following error message:

SPDSSERV - Unable to initialize ACL subsystem

Anybody have any idea what might be causing this?

Most likely the error "Unable to initialize ACL subsystem" was thrown because SPDS was not able to find the password database files. In <SPDSHOME>\site\spdsserv.bat an option "-acldir" pointing to which folder? Are you sure .sppdw11 files exist there?

This was exactly the problem that the ACLDIR option was not set correctly
