SAS 9 Content Assessment Tool

We are working on SAS Content Assessment tool to analyse an existing SAS 9.4 environment.

Wanted to know if the tool needs to be run on the same machine where metadata is installed or it can be run on VM

IMO you have to run this tool on every SAS tier if it's spread across multiple VMs/machines. You will have to extract it locally on every tier or use some common location across machines.

The documentation for SAS 9 Content Assessment is included as part of the application in the
doc folder (/doc for Linux or \doc for Windows) and contains the full requirements and
instructions for using SAS 9 Content Assessment.
