This is Sagar and I am a newbie in SAS. I work as a SAS Admin and just started my career in this.
Can some one please guide me as to how to go about in learning the concepts about installations and configurations on Client's machine from basic. I have been going through the resources provided in the website but it is too overwhelming for a novice like me. Is there any other way though which I can learn the nitty gritties of the Platform.
Thanks in Advance
Regards,
Sagar
Welcome to the world of SAS. In my opinion the best way for you to come up to speed would be to do the SAS Administrators training course. This course covers the concepts which you need to understand before also covering the practical knowledge.
There is a lot of great information listed in this thread, which should help a new SAS admin like yourself. Best of luck to you!
Hello @ssagar1,
indeed, as @ShelleySessoms and @SASKiwi indicated, there are placer where you can have an start.
My best recommendation for you would be to have some personal training or coaching, for a few days, to give you a good intro and steer your potential as self-learner afterwards, or even decide if you need more specialised training.
If you contact your SAS representative/office, I am sure they will be able to pin point you to a proper training/coaching platform available in your region.
