For PC SAS, SAS provides a set of Installation Qualification / Operational Qualification utitlies.

Are there similar utilities SAS provides for IQ / OQ on a (linux) EBI server?

Maybe it's not feasible, since EBI servers can be set up so many ways.  But seems there could be some minimal checks that are routine.

Asking because our server will be upgraded soon from 9.4M3 to M4.  And while it's just a maintenance release, I'm thinking it would be nice to ask the admins for some documentation that SAS was succesfully upgraded.  So want to know if there is a SAS-provided utility I can point them toward.

Hi,

Unix and Linux can use IQ / OQ as well, see

https://support.sas.com/documentation/installcenter/en/ikinstqualtoolug/66614/PDF/default/qualificat...

Linux is not listed explicitly but I am almost certain it is supported.

Or is your question whether there are any other tools available aside from the ones above?

Thanks

Anja

Thanks, I had missed that documentation.

Still curious if there are additional tools that for EBI, which would test the metadata server etc.  But yes, this tool as is will be helpful to run.

Here is some general information about testing SAS servers:

Thanks again, will forward these on to our admins. I'm not familiar with them, but hopefully they are. : )
