We are seeing the following error when trying to start our SAS Web Infrastructure  Data Server:

2020-12-20 17:00:55.532 CSTLOG: startup process (PID 11731154) exited with exit code 1
2020-12-20 17:00:55.532 CSTLOG: aborting startup due to startup process failure

 

Please help

Hi @Aasth 

 

As the log suggests there might be some system events that have caused corruption to the WIPDS. Was the shutdown not done gracefully? As the log suggests, if you have a recent backup of system, you can try to recover using that. However do note that depending upon the last backup date and time some data might be lost.

 

Also, I see some issues related to access in the shared logs. Was there any manual changes made to the file system permissions or the files under sas-config directory? I would suggest you to check that as well.

2020-12-20 17:00:55.531 CSTDETAIL: Could not open file "pg_clog/0008": Permission denied.

My advise would be to raise a SAS Technical support track to help you with the recovery.
