when we restarted hq agent. we are getting below failure(testing secure connection --failed) and unable to connect to HQ.
is it because of SSL certificates? or something else
[sas@test bin]$ ./hq-agent.sh start
Starting HQ Agent...... running (40977).
[ Running agent setup ]
Should Agent communications to HQ be unidirectional [default=no]: yes
What is the HQ server IP address: test.com
Should Agent communications to HQ always be secure [default=yes]: Yes
What is the HQ server SSL port [default=7443]: 7443
- Testing secure connection ... Failure
Unable to automatically setup: Unable to connect to HQ
This might be a red herring but if you've renewed certificates then you also have to recreate the Java Keystores for the Web Application and Environment Manager.
I agree with @Anand_V , checking the agent log is the first step to diagnosing this issue. We have seen this error related to (for example) not being able to bind to the port or incorrect configuration changes being picked up (such as incorrect hostnames defined in the configuration).
You will find the agent log in your equivalent of Lev1/Web/SASEnvironmentManager/agent-5.8.0-EE/log
