We just installed the APM logging on our system (SAS 9.4 M2). I works fine but the EG users complain about the extra lines in the logs...:-)

Is it possible to remove the extra lines (without removing the loggin)???

Thanks in advance.

The extra lines looks like this:

NOTE: There were 9999 observations read from the data set WORK.TEST

NOTE: MVA_DSIO.OPEN_CLOSE| _DISARM|         STOP| _DISARM| 2016-10-19T22:22:44,935+02:00| _DISARM| WorkspaceServer| _DISARM| SAS|

Hi,

Removing the additional lines of information in the log files defeats the purpose a bit.

In order to get the full functionality and reporting from the APM, these information are important.

As far as I know (someone please correct me if I am wrong) you can only remove info from a log entirely

by using something like options nonotes nosource errors=0; which would delete all lines in the log if there is no

error.

You could take a look at the logconfig.xml files in the resp SAS App Servers to see if there are any loggers

you could remove or change.

What information - generally speaking - are you looking for specifically?

Have you looked into Environment Manager?

See the following information for some great details on Environment Manager

Thanks for your answer. It sounds that there is no way out getting rid of the extra lines other than getting used to them. we need a high level security relation to the new iso27001 rules.

Yes we use the Environment Manager- After the APM has been turned on there is a huge amount of relevant standard reports avalible in the raport center.

I know this is opening an old thread, but there is an "official" answer as well. See this: SAS Audit and Performance Measurement Package FAQ. See the bottom section. It has to be applied by your SAS admin, but it is doable.
